Dino Farfante, American Barcode and RFID Inc.
Dino Farfante is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of American Barcode and RFID Inc. (AB&R).  Joining the company in May of 2007, Mr. Farfante directs the creation and implementation of the company’s growth strategy.  He has been a partner and member of the Board of Directors since 2006.

Mr. Farfante was formally President of Insight Direct Worldwide, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Insight Enterprises, Inc., a Tempe, Arizona-based, Fortune 500 company.   He joined Insight North America in 1996 as Senior Vice President of Sales and held progressively responsible roles as the company grew from $300 Million in annual revenues to over $3 Billion in 2005. Immediately prior to joining Insight, Mr. Farfante spent 10 years at Merisel, Inc., a world-wide hardware and software technology distributor based in El Segundo, California.

In addition to these positions, Mr. Farfante serves on a number of industry and community advisory boards including  Zebra Technologies, Valutek,  Inplay Technologies Inc., Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club, and the capital campaign advisory board of Seton Catholic High School. A graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Farfante, his wife Linda and their two sons make their home in Phoenix, Arizona.

of DinoDr Richard “Doc” Gooding
Richard “Doc” Gooding is responsible for helping the Valutek management team develop and implement viable long-term growth strategies. He facilitates that company’s annual Planning Retreats and Quarterly Reviews. He is a strategic coach for the Valutek management team, providing independent input and feedback on key opportunities and issues the company faces in pursuing its vision.

Doc was on the faculty in the College of Business at Arizona State University. He taught Strategic Planning as well as other management classes. His Ph.D. is from Michigan State University. As a management consultant over the last 15 years he has helped many entrepreneurial companies set and reach their strategic goals. His clients include Insight Enterprises, Cold Stone Creamery, Fairytale Brownies, Chine Mist Tea, Weitz Construction, VIZIO, American Barcode, and Canterra Homes. He was VP of Global Strategic Planning at Avnet where he designed and implemented its global strategic planning process. He was also instrumental in the development and growth of the Spirit of Enterprise award program at ASU.

Doc and his wife Marty moved from Michigan to Phoenix in1988 when he started teaching at ASU. They met in Germany when Doc was in the Air Force and were married in 1968. They have two lovely daughters who live in the Valley and one grand-daughter. He and Marty enjoy vacations traveling and deep sea fishing in Cabo and Panama. He is an accomplished poker player and completed in the 2006 World Series of Poker.

Tom has a diverse business background, from Operations to Finance. He spent his early years working in various operational departments of Koch Industries, the largest privately held company in the United States. Later he was a Portfolio Consultant with HOLT Value Associates, now part of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he assisted Mutual Fund and Money Managers select investments.

In 1996 Tom and his wife moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to start his own homebuilding company.  Tom is Founder of Canterra Homes, Inc. who builds neighborhoods of exclusively single-story homes in the Phoenix market.  As President of Canterra, Tom is responsible for securing bank financing, land acquisition, home design, and market analysis.  Over the past 12 years, Canterra has built over 1,600 homes in 22 different communities and even in current market conditions; none of Canterra’s Lenders or Vendors have received any haircuts.

In 2005 Canterra Homes was recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as the 38th largest privately held company and the 8th fastest growing company in the state.

Tom was instrumental in assembling a Board of Directors to start a new bank, Pinnacle Bank, located in Scottsdale.  The Board of 12 raised $13 Million from private investors in 30 days and on September 28, 2005 Pinnacle Bank opened for its 1st day of business. Tom continues to serve as Chairman of the Board.

In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Rietz assisted in identifying 6 other quality homebuilders from across the United States to form their own captive insurance company.  The imaginative name of this insurance company is APPRRG and Tom serves as a member of the Board of Directors.

Tom is also active in the Fiesta Bowl where he has chaired and volunteered for many Fiesta Bowl events. Tom was also on the Board of Directors for Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO), and was selected as 1 of 60 worldwide candidates to participate in Inc. Magazine's, "Birthing of Giants Class for Entrepreneurs." Since 2000, the class has continuously met at MIT and was recently rebranded as “Gathering of Titans.”

Tom received a Division 1 full football scholarship to Ball State University, later transferring to the University of Kansas where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Tom is an ordained Eucharistic Minister and he and his wife have 2 children.

Stan's background includes years of experience with business and organization management and growth.   He spent many of his early years working with Deloitte and Touche, now Touche Ross & Co., as an Audit Partner, National Industry Director for Banking, and Director of Recruiting for the Arizona office.  Followed by The Scottscom Group as President, Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors.  Later moving to a role as Chief Financial Officer for The Arizona Sports Foundation d/b/a Fiesta Bowl, Fiesta Events, Inc., Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation d/b/a Insight Bowl and The Arizona College Football Championship Foundation.  During which he also held Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, Secretary and member of the Board of Directors positions with Insight Enterprises, Inc.

Within the various positions, Stan has served as general services partner for 14 banks, been involved in numerous public offerings and SEC filings.  As well as being responsible for the overall operations and strategic planning for a privately-held $100 million diversified holding company, including a state chartered bank, an insurance agency, radio stations and various real estate developments.

In addition to those accomplishments, Mr. Laybourne has also been Responsible for all finance, accounting and information technology operations for a 501(c) non-profit organization that manages over 50 events annually.  Stan has also been responsible for all finance, accounting, facilities management and legal functions for a $5 billion global reseller of computer and related products company with over 4,500 employees and operations in 26 countries.   During which he directed the company’s successful IPO and played a key role in company’s growth from start-up to Fortune 500 company. He was also responsible for all SEC and public market communications within the company.

Stan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Stan received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration majoring in accounting from The Ohio State University and his Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in accounting and finance from Arizona State University.
