PVC Gloves

Due to the volatile latex market, many controlled environment operators and managers are beginning to ask a very important question: Why latex? Latex has long been the go-to glove for life sciences controlled environments, usually due to habit. For many critical environments, latex is the glove of choice simply because they have always used latex and are not aware that there are other options, such as PVC and Nitrile Gloves.

PVC is known for its inherent cleanliness (low in both particles and ionic extractables), protection against solvents, ESD properties and low cost. These attributes make vinyl gloves ideal for use in medical device manufacturing, microelectonics and other similar controlled environments. (Due its looser fit, PVC cleanroom gloves may reduce dexterity.)
