All paper is not created equal
A Cleanroom environment requires a specialized paper that won't introduce any contamination
like particulates or filters. At the same time, this paper needs to work with all
standard office equipment like high speed laser copiers/printers. It also requires
the ability to be archived for indefinite periods of time.
There are three attributes to consider when choosing your paper needs:
- Base substrate
What is paper made of? Many lower-quality papers contain ash fillers, which means
they will introduce particulates when torn or folded. Valutek’s papers are of higher
quality and 100% filler-free.
- Uniformity
Paper goes through a stringent collandering process which reduces the size of the
fibers, forms them into a page, and provides additional stability and uniform flatness.
High-quality paper receives more collandering than standard paper, and has greater
success passing though high-speed laser copiers and printers.
- Coating
Cleanroom paper should be impregnated with a synthetic coating. Beware of low-cost
options, which contain lower-quality latex and resin treatments.

Cleanroom Paper
Valutek Cleanroom paper has been specially formulated to minimize particulation
in controlled environments. Formulations are a proprietary process which impregnates
the paper to minimize particulate and ink smearing. Improved flatness allowing for
better performance in printing equipments.

Notebooks
Cleanroom spiral notebooks are used to record events and results of daily operations.
These notebooks have been made with paper specifically coated to minimize particulation
in controlled environments. Coating is a proprietary process which seals the surface
of the paper, and allows for use within Cleanroom guidelines.

Sticky Notebooks
Sticky notebooks are used to record notes and results of daily operations. Sticky notebooks must remain in the cleanroom once introduced, and are not to be taken in and out at will. Sticky notebooks are manufactured to cleanroom standards from materials with unique properties to keep particle burden to a minimum in the cleanroom.
